The recorded vehicles are distributed over different months based on the date of the car tax decision. The data contains only initial tax decisions, and accordingly, possible changes through tax review are not included. Due to changes in the Tax Administration's data system, the statistics for 2021 do not take into account car tax decisions generated in January 2021. Peak times in the processing of car tax returns may have an impact on the statistics for different years. The age of the vehicle is calculated as the difference between the year when the car tax decision was issued and the vehicle's first year of use. Information on age is not available for all vehicles. Therefore, the calculation of the average age only takes into account such vehicles for which the age information was available. The indicator Average CO2 value used in taxation, WLTP testing also takes into account electric cars whose emission value is zero. Classifiers:

- Make. If there are less than 5 cars of a specific car make, these are recorded at the make level in the category Other. - Newness - Non-display rules: Whenever a group consists of only 1 observations, the quantity and the euro amounts relating to that group are hidden. In addition, the second smallest group is also normally hidden although it may consist of more than 1 observations. The software application that determines non-display will minimize the quantity of hidden cells. For this reason, it may sometimes hide other cells than the second-smallest one. However, the classifiers Other classes have not been hidden (excl. Other category of vehicle classifier), and no secondary non-displays are affected by Other classes. Inquiries:
